esata card: PCI vs PCIe card???

Here are the esata cards I am looking at for connecting to my new RAID enclosure (but open to other suggestions):

Would the speed be faster with the PCIe? Thanks for the help.

PCI isn't even close to PCI-E.
PCI is about half the Speed as SATA, and about 1/6th the speed of SATA3. That means that PCI card cannot push data as fast as a single onboard SATA port.

Go with PCI-e.

Yeah, go with PCI-express. Visit Wikipedia to get details on speeds but PCI is old as fuck. With a smaller motherboard or a future one chances are you won't have any PCI slot too.

Thanks. I'll get the PCIe. It's only a few bucks more, will offer better performance and will be more future proof.
