Which monitor should I use for gaming with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 620?

A monitor with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and 75 Hz or a monitor with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 and 60 Hz?

And how can I know what games can I play at native resolution and medium settings?

Why would you go for the first monitor? Because the video card is bad, I can't play games at higher resolutions and it's better to play at native resolution?

How old are the games that I can play? It's an OEM video card, I mean it came with the pre-built system.

No, I'm asking which monitor should I use because I want to know which one is better for what I've got and what I want to do.

My 2 monitors are about 10 years old, so I need more a new monitor than a new video card, when I get a new monitor, then I will get a new video card.

The 620 isnt really a graphics card as such, more just a video adapter and you might as well just plug it into the television. if you want to play games well for low money you need to buy a gt 640 or similar priced graphics card.

That's correct, thank you.

Why would you go for the first monitor? Because the video card is bad, I can't play games at higher resolutions and it's better to play at native resolution?

I know.

I'm planning to buy an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 1GB DDR5 once I've got a new monitor and when I can.

Maybe I should try to get my point across once more.
You dont buy a monitor to suit your pc, you buy a monitor to suit your needs.
This primary interface between you and what you are doing online is more important a consideration than your graphics card or anything else.
It will come down to a personal choice and that cant be made by anybody else. The resolutions you mention were abandoned years ago. There is nothing that rudimentary available new anymore, so enjoy the new tech.

A monitor with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and 75 Hz or a monitor with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 and 60 Hz?

This all finished years ago.You cannot even buy stuff this low grade anymore.
If that is what you are used to, then just plugging your pc into the television would be a big improvement.
1024 x 768 is the resolution of a 15 inch or 17 inch cathode ray tube monitor.
1280 x 1024 is a cheap flat screen from 2004 ish.

Some people have really low budgets, and really if you are looking to only spend like $60 on your monitor, then go with the first resolution over the second one (widescreen will be better for movies and browsing in most cases, as well as this one will be cheaper for you)

No, I've already got this monitors, and the 1024 x 768 75 Hz is not a widescreen monitor.

I've already got this monitors, I'm not planning to buy them, and my television is not a modern HD television, I can't do that.

Brantyn, you cant get stuff that old apart from charity shops. Neither of those resolutions are 16/9 wide screen. Any new $90 monitor will outperform that old rubbish, as will any cheap television.
Pakone, its time to invest in the present.

Maybe 1024 x 768 is not the native resolution of this monitor, it's the recommended one but it can go higher to 1280 x 1024 max. but it's not a widescreen monitor, it's a square one.

Pakone, get a scart to SVIDEO converter plug and a svideo lead. Plug your pc into your tv, and choose channel av-s 1 .
Throw the monitors in the bin. Even on a cathode ray tv you wont look back,i played the halflife 2 games like that.

Now you are making it sound like you have one monitor but are curious on which resolution to use...

and you can get these old monitors from schools and colleges that are upgrading very easily, and may only pay like $20 for the monitor. Some people are harder pressed for money and would rather go with the cheapest possible in order to save some money. No need to give him grief for saving some money

quick question, ur gpu came prebuild with ur system? sell it and get a new gpu lol. for me, if u want wide screen, never go higher than 720p. that's ur best bet, but even with that u'll still have to lower the setting for every games. idc how u'll aquire ur monitor, so my answer is there.

I am sitting on a chair. Under that chair is a monitor with the label 'XEROX'. It has tha afforementioned 1280 x 1024 res.
It wasnt sold, it was in a heap of them behind a playground to be collected and land filled. There it will sit untill I 'Aquire ' a 5 amp 12v DC power supply for nothing. so I can 'gift' it with a pc (minimum E6600 cpu)
to a deserving cause. Anybody who would pay $60 (sorry, even $20!) for that monitor needs there bumps felt. They are ten yrs old !

Yes, my video card came with the pre-built system, but if I sell it nobody is going to pay me enough in order to that I will be able to get a better video card.
