I decided to make the switch from win 7 to win 8.1 I installed windows 8.1 on my newly built rig a few months ago and I made quite the effort to learn it & give it a fair try.
Boot time is slow but that is to be expected because I am booting off an LSI MegaRaid SAS 9271-8i
My operating system is on 8 SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB SSD’s in a raid 0
All system and user temp files, Cache files, and VM paging files are in a 5GB Ram drive
All me Videos, Documents and music are on separate drives.
All my Programs are on a 1TB hard drive.
Question
I have a 2 Port SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express SATA Controller Card and 2 SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB SSD’s in the closet.
Do you think I will have any performance benefits if I were to install my 2port SATA card in a raid 0 and transfer my programs to it?
