Looking for an opinion of Dell XPS 8700 w/12GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz- 4DIMMS(?), NVIDIA GeForce GTX645 1.0GB GDDR5 (?) With a 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4770 processor (8M Cache, up to 3.9 GHz. Please explain in idiot terms what I'm getting. I went to college for this crap but it was a looong time ago - so I'm stumped!

You have 12 GB of DDR3 memory split over 4 sticks of RAM, so, most likely two 4GB sticks and two 2 GB sticks.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX645 is a graphics card in the upper-low range of performance, and has 1 GB of its own dedicated GDDR5 (a slightly-faster DDR3) memory. The i7-4770 is a quad core with hyperthreading (making the computer think it has 8 logical cores).

Not a bad machine for a prebuilt - what are you planning on using it for? If it's for purely production/work, it's a pretty fast machine for just that.
