What is a good motherboard for this build?

Solution
Well, If you want a really good motherboard that has the reliability, performance and features of a more expensive one, I can offer you a simple choice, The ASRock Fatil1ty Z87 Killer, supports Triple SLI and nothing short of features. The reviews for this board are excellent and comes from a trusted supplier (ASRock) which has a very good reputation for value/performance. If you want an excellent motherboard for the price, the Z87 Killer by ASRock Fatil1ty gaming series boards is the best choice. It's in Red/Black so it looks epic in a case.

are you planning on overclocking your CPU? Because if you are you will need a high performance air cooler as the Haswell 4th generation series CPU's are quite hot ones so you'll need a CPU cooler for that. A cheap but extremely good air cooler is the Hyper 212 EVO, excellent value and nothing comes close in it's range for performance and price.

Yes I plan on setting up a custom water cooling kit but that won't be for a while. I definitely won't overclock on a stock fan haha.

Do you know if they are hard to set up? It looks like a lot of fun and really cool.

Custom water cooling kit? Or pre-built water cooling kit? The only drawback from water cooling is it leaking, if it leaks then your screwed and no warranty on things you've lost, quite expensive. Pre-build water coolers actually don't perform as well as high performance air coolers like the one I listed, the water coolers are mainly for looks and bragging but there isn't a difference between pre-built water coolers and high performance air coolers. If you go for a really expensive air cooler, expect extreme performance, quietness, And a huge warranty period. Water coolers have pumps so they can be quite noisy and if your case isn't the right size for the water cooler it will be extremely difficult to fit (best to have a monster case). You will have to modify some cases to fit in the cooler you want and that is a defiant drawback. Same choice for me, either a Corsair H110 Water cooler or Noctua NH-D14, Easy choice, air cooler all the way but this air cooler is HUGE, takes up lots of space and looks better then a water cooler in my opinion, ultimately your choice but tampering with a case to make it fir isn't ideal.

Fun maybe but you may have a lot of swearing if you are finding it hard to fit inside the case, which it can be very difficult. I would avoid custom water cooling (not pre-built) unless you want 5GHz+ from the 4770k, which no-one will. Remember pre-built water cooling is much more then high performance air cooling and there is no cooling gain from it, just more hassles and problems when something goes wrong. Last thing you want is a water cooling system leaking inside the PC, a costly problem that isn't counted as warranty.

Intel's SSD 520 or kingston must be reasonably good choices. They are based out on the newest.I kinda know these SSDs work
