Mantle and 14.1 update made it worse for me

Now when I play battlefield I get extreme stutters and erratic fps...is it because it isn't optimized for my card quite yet?

CPU - FX8320
GPU - HD 7870 OC

Actual FPS showing up in game aren't that low (40-60fps), but the game is very choppy.

This is with a constant 45-50ms ping.

A quote from the AMD release notes webpage for the 14.1 drivers...:
"Mantle performance for the AMD Radeon™ HD 7000/HD 8000 Series GPUs and AMD Radeon™ R9 280X and R9 270X GPUs will be optimized for BattleField 4™ in future AMD Catalyst™ releases. These products will see limited gains in BattleField 4™ and AMD is currently investigating optimizations for them."

Might have to wait a bit.

For me mantle seemed to help, even though i only had a chance to play two rounds before i left fir a super bowl party. Should have stayed home though that was an awful game. Anyways its true they will be optimized further and even stated that xfire wouldnt work well but for me its great.

My cards seem to hold a higher usage in i forget the map name with the snow on the outside left with tons of campers. My cards used to go all over the place on this map but now they seem to hold high 90% usage on both cards as well as much steadier fps.

Did you happen to do a complete uninstall and then reboot and load the new drivers?

Yes, I totally uninstalled 13.12 drivers and installed 14.1. Reboot, all of it...still same.

I have reverted back to 13.12 for now.
