have problems if there not the same timing or something i have no idea what im doing when it comes to memory.
ALSO could you recomend some good ram 8 gigs or higher for a good price i know 4 is fine for basicly all games but i wanna upgrade for mulitasking and streaming.

i have a asus p8z77-v LK intel Mobo

Gotcha. Typically, if you're running different sticks together (assuming they will run together, which isn't a necessarily a guarantee) they will run at the lower of the speeds. So if your 4GB stick is slower than your 8GB kit, the kit will be downgraded to the slower speed. Typically.

here's a good, if not older, response one timings and speed: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/287107-30-timings-latency-lower-numbers-worse

If you don't buy a "dual channel" labelled kit, you're not guaranteed to operate in dual channel. That's not to say two identical sticks won't run in dual channel, probably would, but only kits are guaranteed. When sticks have different specs, if they run together, they'll run at the slower/lower specs.

I'd go with something like:

Whatever you go with, stick with 1.5V, it's the safe voltage for your CPU.

With memory it's quite simple.
Most games is better of with 1600MZ or even 1333mz frequency and benefit better on the CAS latency.
Try to have the CAS latency on 9.
But applications like streaming, might benefit on higher frequency ram(can't remember, but it make sense it does)
So something like 2x4GB 1866/1600mz CL9 ram would be a good match.
