I just got an Asus WL-167g WLAN USB Adapter and it installs fine with the latest driver and such but after I select my router and type in the password and connect it will connect but say "Identifying...." And "No Internet Access" but with an ethernet cable connected to the same computer and router the internet works

Solution
Check your router wireless configuration, looks like some setting is either not configured or with an incompatible attribute with your wireless adapter, perhaps the type of channel (instead of USA some adapters need "undefined") or the selected authentication type is not supported by your adapter (try another authentication type).
Once your wireless adapter gets to "Identifying..." check if it's getting assigned a proper IP address/netmask and default gateway from the router, open cmd from start menu and type ipconfig, look for "Wireless Adapter" or something like that.
