Hi! I am on a budget for building PC. i was thinking of taking the Intel Haswell route. Core i3-4130 is on my mind for this build. Would it be a good pair with GTX 760?

Does anyone here uses i3-4130 paired with GTX 760? Can you share your Experience?

It works but many new games don't run well on dual core cpus (like the i3 series). I suggest either try to squeeze the cheapest i5 into the budget or get an FX63xx series CPU (you need to overclock it to get the most from it).

+1 for the i5.
-1 for fx 6300.
An i3 perform aswell as a fx 6xxx in games.

About the AM3+ socket, my problem with it is being a dead socket :( . What i like about the i3 LGA 1150 path is that i can upgrade to i7. :)

But i think my plans will be ruined if AMD decides to make an Excavator CPU for AM3+ socket. :)
