Hello all. I am building a budget computer for a friend and was wondering if you all could help me out. I currently have a Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS motherboard and set of Gskill ram that I think should be compatible. The RAM is G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-4GBXH. This memory is not on the cvl for the motherboard and when put into the system I am building it does not POST. Any ideas? Should I just get set of memory I know will work with it?
For some additional information on the system: AMD FX-4130 processor and a ASUS genforce GTX 640 GPU the powersupply is CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 I went through the usual checklist of for a computer not POSTing and could only figure it was the memory. Thanks!

Solution
That DDR3 ram is compatible with it but if there is no post then that ram may be faulty but overall it supports any DDR3 RAM upto a frequency of 1866Mhz OC.

Hope that helps

As a follow up to further test if it is the memory do you think I would be able to take some of the memory from my current pc to test if it is the memory or the motherboard? G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL is in my current PC. Maybe take a stick form that for testing purposes?
