I would prefer the GTX 770 OC. Its performance is slightly better than the radeon r9 280x

can you confirm this please? i mean with a performance screenshot or something? :)  I just want to know

i sent my r9 280x for replacement/repair and im not sure if i want the same model again, that has a great chance of showing artifacts again

What problem did you have on your Radeon GPU?

GTX 770 is slightly better. But I personally like MSi and Asus. So IMO stick to the asus that u have or get 770 from asus or msi.

Artifacting a lot! and this model is widely said to have this issue. I dont know if the latest amd beta drivers can fix this though, since its in the service center atm.

Then I would say go for the GTX 770. Nvidia's GPUs supports more features than AMD ones.

I can tell from here that the Gigabyte model is good for this as well!

anyway i dont care about the manufacturer.
i just care about the performance :)
And you showed me a general comparison of the r9 280x vs the 770 chipset.
This cant tell a lot :p  anyway :)

The gigabyte one that you selected is a 4GB 770gtx. The Asus model that you selected is a 2GB one.
Here's a link for the 4gb gtx 770.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx770dc2o...
Its cheaper. And yes, brands is a personal choice unless there is a huge performance difference, so go with one that please you. :)

Gtx 770 simply better. 2gigs is enough for simple 1080p gaming it should run most games on ultra with high fps. I know this because i have 2 builds other has 280x and other 770 the 280x runs hot, and simply ati has bad history. Just buy the gtx 770 goddam! Gigabyte model is one of the best. Thx for your time
