Basic Outline of Rig - AsRock Z87M-Extreme 4, 4670K@Stock, 8GB Kingston HyperX genesis, 2GB Msi GTX 760 HAWK, 1TB Caviar Blue.

Right, the PSU is a Corsair CXM 500W Semi Mod PSU, it comes with the 6+2 Pin PCIe connectors, do I connect them from PSU to the HAWK that has 2 8 Pin ports by joining the two 6+2 Pin cables and put them both in each 8 Pin??

Or do I use the adapters to make life easier?

oh and is this PSU OK for gaming with this rig? no overclocking the CPU BTW.

Yes , join them together , that's how it works.

If it's a decennt 500w it can run your specs, but ideal would be a 650w.

No overclocking for sure.

Yes. 6+2 plugs are made for 8pin sockets, but split up like that so it can accommodate cards with 6pin sockets as well. Same thing with 4+4 CPU plugs and sockets.

Adapters, while they might work, are generally so that it gives you time to use your machine and get the parts you really need. Wouldn't recommend for long term use.

PSU is fine, mate of mine runs essentially the same build (but with more "stuff") on a 450w PSU.
