These are the specs. I would prefer an Intel processor but this is a great sale ( I think? )

This would be for all around use at home, and for Grad School. No gaming.
•Includes Pavilion 15-e181nr laptop, six-cell lithium-ion battery, AC adapter, printer, and PC Treasures software (ships separately)
•2.5GHz AMD Elite quad-core A10-5750M accelerated processor with 4MB L2 cache, up to 3.5GHz
•15.6" diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display with 1366x768 resolution
•8GB DDR3L SDRAM
•1TB 5400 RPM hard drive with HP ProtectSmart hard drive protection
•SuperMulti DVD burner
•802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
•AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics, up to 4206MB total memory
•dts Sound+
•HP TrueVision HD webcam with integrated mic
•Full-sized keyboard with numeric keypad
•Multi-gesture touchpad
•10/100 Base-T ethernet
•SD memory card reader
•Two USB 3.0 ports
•USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 ports

Thank you!

I got a touchscreen A10-5745M on Black Friday. It's sweet. I made it even sweeter with a Samsung 120GB SSD :)

For your uses it's likely a bit over-kill.

How about at a $600 price? My reason for wanting a good system is I am blowing through crap laptops. This will be my 4th in 4 years, I want one that lasts!

This one will last.
I bought a laptop for $530 over 3 years ago and mine is not even half as good as this one.
