will i be able to overclock the fx-6300 on this board? if yes what kind of speeds can i achieve if i get a hyper 212? also, i've heard that you might have to update the bios with certain 970 chipset boards. How do i do this? thanks in advance

before you overclock do research about your motherboard.....so you won't regret it.

i saw some guys here that bought this mobo and said that a bios upgrade isnt required for fx6300.
And yes, this is a entry-level board for overclockers so you should get a mild to good oc.
For excelent oc performance, put your money in a asus or gygabyte FX990 motherboard like Asus Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 or Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5.

Fast. Really fast. You're likely to rip a hole in the space/time continuum....

and do a minute in 30 seconds or less

:ouch:

I applaud your effort but still....be careful...overclocking is not everything.....a few mistakes and you can damage your motherboard. People do weird stuff on their MOBO and messes it up.
