i have four year old laptop. which is not formating. says bad secter and it is not getting on. and i am trying alot to formate

If it's reporting bad sectors your HD is bad, and only going to get worse. it's possible to "fix" bad sectors, but it just hides the problem, since you're trying to format anyways, you're better off getting a new HDD.
