Hi everyone, What I want basically is to be able to play games such as Skyrim, Battlefield 4, The Witcher and next-gen games like Tom Clancy's The Division on ultra presets. I decided to configure a Vortex IV 17" laptop on the website PCSpecialist.

These are the specs I have chosen:

Display: 17.3" Full HD Glossy
Processor: i7 4800MQ (2.7GHz) 6MB
RAM: 8GB Samsung 1600MHz (1 x 8GB)
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M - 4GB GDDR5
1st Hard drive - 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD
2nd Hard drive - 750GB WD 7200rpm 16MB Cache HDD
Optical Drive - Standard
Thermal Paste - Artic MX-4
Sound Card - Standard
NIC - Intel AC (802.11AC, 867Mbps)
Power lead - 230W AC
OS - Windows 8.1 (they are bringing start menu back in 8.2)
Other software - None
Laptop cooling stand - CoolerMaster Ergostand II

It comes to £1,576.00 (I'm fine with the price).

I've check all benchmarks for the GPU seems good with the processor runs like a 660 GTX desktop GPU. The SSD is for the OS and the HDD is for general storage really and maybe later I'll install another 8GB RAM when I start developing again but 8GB is fine for now. Also want to know if buying a cooling stand will be a good investment I've heard the elevation is good for a laptop but unsure on the fan side of it.

Yea it seems fine just wanna know if there are any parts which would be better and if I really need a cooling stand for this I don't want to waste any more money than needed with this, also I don't know if it will even get hot because the design has a lot of vents more than most laptops.
