Hi guys

I am planning to build a new system in a couple of months and I will be buying the 4770k. Any latest news regarding Intel's upcoming chipsets or CPU's? Is it worth waiting for?

Thanks

The Haswell refresh is coming out in a few months I've heard. It's rumoured that it will only be mobile CPUs though, and if the desktops do get refreshed then it will only be a little clockspeed boost anyway.

Broadwell will probably be out late this year or early next year, but they will be expensive as expected.

I'd say now's a pretty good time to buy.

So you are looking to just downsize then? I would probably just sell your current board and buy a new M-ATX Z77 board.

If you just replace your current board and reuse the 3770k, you could go with a 780ti for less. For a bit more, you could get 2, r9 290. :D

I edited my post above as an example of what you could get for a little more keeping your current CPU. This is a 780ti revision.
