If less than a year old, call manufacturer for replacement.
If over that, then a replacement is needed. Batteries are one of those items that doesn't seem to get covered by a countries Sales Of Goods Act for durability.
If you remove it, make sure you don't let it discharge past 10% and charge it every other month to 100%.
