Monitor goes blank after 5 minutes

Hello everyone! I recently updated to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 on my custom build computer, and after updating I noticed that my monitor now goes blank if left idle for 5 minutes. This is different from the monitor going to sleep, and I even have the power profile set to never turn off the display to rule that out. When the screen goes blank, there just isn't a picture; the monitor is still producing light, it's just black (and the power light is blue indicating it is on, and not orange which would mean it is asleep) . When I move the mouse, the screen immediately comes back. The brightness doesn't change, it's just that the image returns.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my GPU drivers (I have an AMD Radeon HD 7770), but that didn't fix the problem. Is there some new power saving setting in Windows 8.1 that I am missing? I have timed the occurrence, and it happens exactly 5 minutes after not touching the mouse or keyboard. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
