Hey guys, first time posting on Tom's Hardware. I was hoping I would be able to get some feedback on my current pc as to what I should upgrade to make it more gaming friendly. Ill try to list the specs as best I can.

It is basically an upgraded Hp pavilion media center m8000 desktop right now. The pc was my grandmas and broke down on her so she told me I could have it if i got it running. I replaced the cpu with another of the same kind AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 5000+ 2.60 GHz. I have also added a better graphics card, AMD Radeon HD 6570 and I use if for dual monitors connected by an hdmi cable and a dvi cable.
When i first got it from her I also put in a different psu I bought it used off of some guy and to the best of my knowledge it is a cooler master real power pro RS-650-ACAA-A1 650W ATX Form Factor 12V V2.3 / SSI Standard EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply.
For memeory I just upgraded last night from 3.00GB to 6.GB and also switched to a 64 bit version of windows 8.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Starting from scratch is your best bet. The motherboard is too old for a modern CPU and modern RAM.

You cannot really reuse anything. The GPU is too weak for modern gaming and everything else is out of date.

What is too old? The mobo and case? Do you recommend starting from scratch but using some of the hardware I have now like the graphics card, RAM or anything? I dont make that much money so I was hoping to continually update it as I can afford but if you think the whole system is too outdated I dont want to waste anymore money on it and would rather save to get parts for a better build.
