New computer, SSD transfer

I just ordered a new computer with windows 8.1 installed on its 2tb HDD(it has not came in yet) and i want to order a 500gb Samsung Evo OS booting SSD, how would i transfer over the os when i get it?

That is a very slow way of doing things, you can clone the drives internally with an imaging software. You boot off a disk with the cloning software, select the source and destination, wait till it's over, hook up the SSD in the SATA port the old drive was in and done. Just make sure you select the right drive to clone from or you'll clone your empty SSD to the original drive creating two blanks.
The Samsung drive comes with data migration software - as long as the new computer has less than 500GB of data/programs on it, you can just migrate the data over.

Most new computers require you to make a copy of the "rescue" discs or "recovery" discs (they don't ship with them). So first thing I would do is create those discs, then either migrate the software, or install Windows directly on to the SSD from the discs you made.
