Top has been closed? As in you had it open and it would turn on, but when you have the case closed it won't? If so it might be overheating, there may be a short in the case, or any number of other things. What do you mean IDLE? There is no 'IDLE' in Windows, there is SLEEP and HIBERNATION. Sleep is, the computer powers lower everything and waits for a period of time for you to 'move the mouse' then it will 'wake up'. HIBERNATION is when the computer SAVES to a file the 'way everything is RIGHT NOW' so when you turn it on again it loads 'RIGHT BACK TO WHERE I WAS' (same tabs open in Internet Explorer, same Word doc was still open, etc.). Sometimes these glitch which is a different manner. If you do NOT want one of these settings or want to 'proper set' when it happens just go to your POWER settings under control panel and go through all the options on the left side of the window.
