I built my own computer recently and have been having kernel power 41 issues like crazy. I recently figured out most of the problem but I'm not sure what this error means (pasted to bottom) I was in the middle of sending an RMA report to nvidia and left the computer for a phone call, came back and it had restarted with a kernel power error and the error listed below appears a few min before the restart. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I have no idea what this relates to unless it has to do with Microsoft update?

My Build:
mobo: GA-F2A88X-D3H
CPU: AMD A8-5600k
RAM: crucial 4GB 1600 DDR3 (1 stick)
Video: Radeon HD 6570
PSU: Raidmax 735W

Solution
No that error is a result of a bad address for that 'website' (Media.bestofmicro.com) being incorrect in your DNS table your computer had. A simple opening CMD, then running ipconfig /flushdns would clear out the entry. That has nothing to do with the original problem which is a kernal power 41 issue, which is more false positive error (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028504) as it just tells you the computer was improperly shut down suddenly (usually through holding the power button instead of clicking Orb-> Shutdown and let windows properly close all the files open before shutting down).

Thanks! I thought perhaps that was what it was, but I wasn't entirely sure as it gave me the error just before the kernel error. It's driving me nuts. Yes, I've read the microsoft explanation of what the kernel power 41 error means and it just doesn't help me at all. I've had numerous errors like WMI and VSS and I've gotten those cleared up to this point. My computer just does an auto reboot when it receives whatever error is causing it. I appreciate the fast response however! Thanks so much!

MMM Well the basics for trouble shooting are to first run an AV FULL SCAN using a proper antivirus solution like AVAST! or AVG NOT MSE!!! (both free @ www.filehippo.com) then run a FULL SCAN ANTIMALWARE like Malwarebytes. Once the system comes up clean (if anything pops up, follow the steps clean the machine RESCAN FULL again and again until it comes up clean), then you would need to start looking at other issues. Download and run SPECCY then and post the first tab to tell us what sort of computer this is. ANY answer can apply at this point, from your PC needs to be replaced to, Windows needs to be reloaded to, or just run this patch.

Avast had zero viruses with FULL SCAN
Malwarebytes detected zero malicious programs with FULL SCAN

and SPECCY:

Windows 7 Professional 32-bit SP1
CPU
AMD A8-5600K 52 °C
Trinity 32nm Technology
RAM

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. F2A88X-D3H (P0) 31 °C
Graphics

1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6570 (ATI AIB) 35 °C

Optical Drives
ATAPI DVD D DH16D2S SATA CdRom Device

I just put everything together last week and got a squeeky clean new HDD yesterday night so it's pretty much empty of everything except mobo drivers and video drivers and what I just downloaded from above.
