Horribly amateur PC gamer here. Sorry for possibly asking a really dumb question...

I picked up a XFX Radeon HD 7750 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/xfx-core-edition-radeon-hd-7750-2gb-ddr3-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card/6819866.p?id=1218808240495)

Anyway...I ran some benchmarks on this thing and I only seem to be getting 11FPS when using FurMark. Is this what I should expect on this card or should I be getting something higher? After reading some posts on other forms, I see that I really cannot expect to play much games with less that 30fps? Can someone clarify this for me? I guess I am just trying to make sure I have this setup optimally.

Thanks!

u have a decent set up there but not the gpu.. i get ur point not having these ultra gaming experience.. but still you should have planned it before u buy a card.. anyway.. you should just upgrade ur gpu to hd 7770..its a decent card for a budget build.. if u add a little more.. u can get gtx 650 or 650ti or a hd 7790.. they are way better than 7750.. and they run on gddr5.. much faster than ddr3..it will help u attain 30+ fps or maybe 40+ on med settings given u have a 1366x768 resu. ;)

update! --> at least get the 7770 if ur on a tight budget

First Noob mistake was choosing a DDR3 card always choose the fastest memory :). The next questions would be How much are you looking to spend, and what gaming resolution are you looking to play in? (what type of monitor do you have?)

Also, give me a hint of where you're dropping this card? your mobo and memory specs

Told you I was a noob when I came to PC gaming :) I really am not expecting anything overkill. Just want to play some games with friends. I am not expecting to play everything on ultra at 1080p by any means.

The card is installed on a AsRock Z77 Extreme 4, 8GB GSkill Ram, Intel i5 3470.
