So I have been racking my brain for days trying to decide on the right GPU for my build. My GPU budget is $300-$500 and just want high performance. I am a big Radeon fan so I have mostly been considering those.

I really want the SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5 but I can't find it anywhere for no less than $600

So i realistically started looking at the SAPPHIRE R9 280X TOXIC Edition since it had the highest pixeling out of all the 280x's but I keep reading that people are having artifact issues.

Can someone please help me find a solid graphics card?

Better then? In the one game that site reviewed the 780 got less then 4 extra FPS. Kinda hard to say which is better based on that.

All the cheapest 290s with good coolers seem to run $550-600. You can either wait or get the extra money. I'd probably get the 770 over the 280X. The 780 is just inside your price range as well.

Edit: This is a real review. Not a bunch of useless synthetic marks and a dumping of raw stats. Find your favorite game and compare.

Funny you should mention that because that's the one I'm looking at if I can't get a better deal anywhere else.
