I recently bought a razer kraken pro and the audio is working fine. The mic however does not work at all. Skype wont even recognize in audio settings. I have tried to plug the pink jack into pretty much every audio jack in the back of my PC but none of them work. The most I've gotten is plugging it into the blue jack and being able to select line in as my mic on Skype but my voice still doesn't transmit anywhere on any program.

you have to put it to the pink jack back of the pc!!!!!!!! not the blue one!!!!

then you go to device maneger and check if the mic driver is installed, if it is installed then you go to control panel / hardware and sound / sound / recording. if there shows your mic then it is ok. Good luck!! :D

Thanks for the suggestion but it still does not show up even when it is plugged into the pink jack. I assume now I need a mic driver but I don't know how to get it or where to install it. I'm on ASUS z77 Motherboard

try to roll back drivers in the device maneger:

1. go to control panel/system and security/system

at the lft upper corner go to device maneger.

2. click the sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

3. right click on the realtek high defination audio and select properties. on drivers and select roll back driver

that chould fix the problem

good luck!!! :D

I had the same problem initially, and I even have the same motherboard as you. It turns out that none of that mattered. My problem was that the audio cord from the headphone wasn't plugged completely into the splitter. It takes a little bit more force to plug it in than you'd expect, and if it is halfway plugged in, it will still play audio through the headphones. Hope this helps.
