I recently bought a razer kraken pro and the audio is working fine. The mic however does not work at all. Skype wont even recognize in audio settings. I have tried to plug the pink jack into pretty much every audio jack in the back of my PC but none of them work. The most I've gotten is plugging it into the blue jack and being able to select line in as my mic on Skype but my voice still doesn't transmit anywhere on any program.

Thanks for the suggestion but it still does not show up even when it is plugged into the pink jack. I assume now I need a mic driver but I don't know how to get it or where to install it. I'm on ASUS z77 Motherboard

try to roll back drivers in the device maneger:

1. go to control panel/system and security/system

at the lft upper corner go to device maneger.

2. click the sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

3. right click on the realtek high defination audio and select properties.

4.click on drivers and select roll back driver

that chould fix the problem

good luck!!! :D

I had the same problem initially, and I even have the same motherboard as you. It turns out that none of that mattered. My problem was that the audio cord from the headphone wasn't plugged completely into the splitter. It takes a little bit more force to plug it in than you'd expect, and if it is halfway plugged in, it will still play audio through the headphones. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem as you have, bought Kraken today and i must say they are the worst headset i ever had. There is only problem. Not even good sound quality in my opinion.
And the mic just wont work....

I followed these steps however when I reached the Roll Back Driver it was not available. It just wouldn't let me select this option. Any other fix?

Try to uninstall your previous audio driver and follow the stepswhat i give you before besides the step where you roll back the driver, instead uninstall the driver, if the driver is uninstalled than it will show a sign ( unknown device, or a pic with ( ! ) ).

Go to the page and select the os you have, than find the audio at the drivers section below and click on - sign and download the driver. Follow the steps for installing the driver and than restart the pc.
Hope it will work. ;)

alright so i got the mic working but whenever I'm in a skype or teamspeak call he people can hear the game im playing really clearly, even louder than my own voice. I did some research and found that it could be because im using a laptop and i should buy a external USB sound card because the cables are designed for pc and moblie. do you think this would fix the problem?

So yesterday i bought this headset and i got only trouble with it. But i've managed to make it work, at least for me. For me the problem was that the mic record every sound, even from the headset itself.
This is how my settings for Realtek HD looks like : https://postimg.org/image/5q97yk9bp/
For me the problem was Noise Suppression, so unchecked it. But left the echo cancellation.

Before that i sow a video on youtube which come with a fix based on changing the the Levels for the mic, but it didn't work for me. Each time i enter in a game or an application which has custom audio setting my levels was restore to the default values. So i left the like this : https://postimg.org/image/tnl6uz9et/

Maybe this will help someone of you
