Hello I currently have R9 290 but due to it being absolute horrible unreliable card (freezing up with black screen) decided to jump the ship to the good old Nvidia.
My question is will my current PSU (OCZ ZS 550w) be able to run any GTX770 4gb version card? My current specks are.

Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX Pro Rev 2.0
PSU: OCZ ZS 550w
CPU: FX6100 Overclocked to 4.3ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60
LG DVD drive
1TB hard drive
Thanks in advance, feel free to suggest any other gpu that's would be at lest some future proof (No AMD) and would fit around £300 mark.
I would be gaming on single monitor at 1080p thank you.

Yeap. I believe you are good to go. The pc power calculator estimated your usage to be around 470W. Let me know if you are powering up any other hardware apart from the ones listed. I also assumed that you have 2 RAM sticks installed.

P.S. You can save a few money by going for a 2 or 3GB card. More than that you won't see any improvements in terms of performance since 4GB are mainly used for multi-monitor setups and high resolutions.

Yes I have 2 x 4GB, and well wouldn't it be better getting a 4 GB version only for the fact that later down the line I could change the psu and run an sli configuration ? I mean 2 GB seems kinda low for a near future and next couple of yers for gaming.

Well it doesn't really matter how much VRAM you have in SLI. If both cards have 2GB of VRAM then the whole SLI configuration will run at 2GB. The same for all VRAM values (provided that both cards have the same VRAM). Well I don't think that 4GB will become a necessity for 1080p single monitor setups any time soon. I agree that 2GB is not a future proof specification but what about 3GB? I am not sure though if the 770 comes in 3GB variants. If at the end of the day you are not satisfied with any 3GB model, then go for your first choice.

Hope this helps!

770 doesnt come in 3 Gb.

If you plan to SLI and run higher than 1080p resolutions, then the 4Gb is a good idea, but in 1080p you wont see any performance difference vs the 2gb model.

That's a good question, however the minimal specified on amd website is 550w and also the black screen happens whether its on load or idle, its completely random. Witch I don't think is connected to this issue, also many people have same problem and getting them returned (I read that on forums).
