My internet keeps disconnecting periodically for intermittent periods of time. I thought I could change the settings in my modem, a PK 5000z, to try see if anything works. I am not very tech savvy, and tried looking up things that might make my internet work better if changed. I happened upon teh post "New mode, New problemb ZyXEL PK5000z" here and tried changing these values;

"IP: 192.168.0.10
netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS1: 206.13.29.12
DNS2: 206.13.30.12"
However, after doing so my modem froze and will not provide internet access anymore. All the lights light up like it's working normally but no actual internet service is provided. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Is there a re-set button to get it back to factory settings? Depress it and hold it in for 10 seconds. Another option is to unplug it and then plug it back in after 10 seconds.

Wow, I asked my ISP how to resolve this issue (qwest) and they literally gave me a bunch of random answers about bad interference, broken phone filters, faulty phone jacks, etc. They even stated my modem should be working fine. Holding in the button for 10 secs did the trick, it reset, I restored teh factory settings, and now it works normally. No clue why they didn't mention that. Thanks for answering.
