Is this brand good?

Solution

Lol I would recommend to get 10 dollars and get the gtx 760 over r9 270x as the gtx 760 has better performance compared to r9 270x but if you really can't get 10 dollars r9 270x is still a good card

Pny is good enough to be in most big box retail stores. I've never owned a pny personally but they are a large common brand. Most enthusiasts prefer evga, msi, and many others. You don't get a lot of "fanboys" for pny but it isn't a no name brand or a bad one to my knowledge. I'm guessing you like the price and haven't heard of them but they are well known. Shouldn't be a problem but even the most popular brands can have a bad apple so I'm not guaranteeing anything but hope this helps!

Better cooling and more expensive components are used for other brands and that matters more if you plan on overclocking. If you are just going to plug and play the coolers on most are more than adequate.

the GPU chip itself is the same one that EVGA and MSI and Asus use, they're manufactured by nVid (or their specific fab). sometimes the brands even use the nVid board layout / design, and either don't change anything (so you get the unit as originally designed by nVid) or they tweak a few things or a bunch of things.

on something that costs around $250, a $10 difference isn't much (percentage wise), but then again most cards don't vary that much anyways. some give you better warranty, or game bundles, or rebates, etc.
