the issue lies with the CPU. go into the BIOS if possible and check to make sure all settings for the CPU are ok. If you ar unable to enter the BIOS then Remove the power cord and watch size button battery for 30 seconds and press the power button, replace the battery and start the system. this will reset the BIOS back to factory settings allowing you to enter them again.

the mem OK button should only be used if the system wont boot because of a bad ram setting. It sets the ram to a usable, bootable setting nothing else.

Also make sure all power cables are plugged in tightly.
 
No the memOK button would not have caused this. It is possible that you hurt it during tying up the wires. Many things can cause it, Static electricity, being jarred and a bunch others but I hope you get the idea.

for future reference tie up the wires before the first start up in the case so there is no need to reenter the case to do air flow and cosmetic work after the system is up and running.
