New build using spare parts, questions about CPU/mobo

I would like to build a gaming rig (windows 8), capable of running diablo iii and Starcraft ii at 60FPS at max settings. I currently have no budget limit, but this is an "extra" rig, so I don't want to overspend. I have two questions to ask, one about mobo choice, and one about CPU choice. First, though, here are my current components:

-PSU - Corsair TX750M
-CPU Cooler - 212 EVO
-GPU - three (yes, three) GTX 760 Twin Frozr IV by MSI

Let's start with motherboard choice. Now, I HAVE three cards, but is it really worth it to invest in a mobo capable of using all three, if I'm only using a single 24" monitor @ 1080p? Or should I try to sell the third card and work with two? I really intend this to be a simple, air cooled rig (I haven't picked a case yet), so two seems best. Maybe the third could be a PhysX slave?

Now, the CPU. I'm picky, I like my intel, and I like buying current gen. The question, then, becomes "4760k or 4770k?" I've yet to find any Starcraft II benchmarks that compare the two, and I'm sure Diablo will run fine on either, and I don't do any FPS like Battlefield 4, so will a non-HT quad core work just as well?

Finally, if anybody has mobo recommendations based on their answers, they'd be much appreciated. I've previously used an Intel Extreme board, and an MSI gaming board for builds. I'm not picky about the mobo brand or anything for this build, so all suggestions, especially ones with experience with SLI/XFire configurations, help.

One more edit: it occurs to me that 750 watts doesn't sound like enough to run three cards and an overclocked CPU.

1. Why in the world do you have 3 GTX 760's? That's massive overkill. Try selling 1-2 of them for more money into your build. The best option is to sell all of them and get a GTX 770/780/780Ti.
2. With gaming, all games don't utilize more than an i5-4670k, so get that with a Noctua NH-D14, then overclock it to ~4+ GHz.
3. I recommend an Asus Maximus VI Hero for a single GPU, but if you must use 3 graphics cards, then get the Maximus VI Extreme.
4. You should seriously use at least a 1920x1080p monitor, even for one graphics cards, if you use three, then go for triple screen or else you're wasting all your performance. (Unless you're the type of guy who has wayyyyy too much money and is snobby about showing off :) )
5. For three GPUs, get a Corsair HX 1050. For 1 GPU, the TX 750M is sufficient.
