Even a USB3 drive should be seen by a USB2 system.
When you say it' "won't open it", is it showing up in My Computer? Can you see the drive in Drive Manager as a non-formatted device? Is Windows trying to detect it? Did you try different ports? Did you go over to SanDisk support and check out their FAQ for the product to see if anything may need to be updated?
