Hi

Not sure this post is in the right place but here goes:

I want to add a second GTX 760 to my rig (I am picking up a second one from a guy at work cheap!), but I have a couple of questions:

My original card is a reference card (Inno 3D), stock clocks, the 2nd card is a factory OC Gigabyte windforce card. I assume if i add the 2nd card as is, the Windforce card will donclock to run at the same speed as the reference card, right?

So, the question is, can I have a go at OCing the reference card up to the OC card levels before installing the 2nd card, and then when i add the 2nd card they will both run at OC levels?

Next Question: I have an XFX Pro 750W PSU (I believe this is a Seasonic unit internally), is it enough PSU to power these 2 cards OC and a i7 2600K (i) at stock/ (ii) OC to 4.1 GHz?

Other useful info: I only intend to game on single 24" 1080p monitor for now. The PC has 2 DVD RW drives and 1 SSD, 1 HDD.

Thnaks for your help (if anyone does?)

You are right they work at the lowest common denominator. I would also go about testing the OC on the first card the way you mentioned, find a stable overclock now on its own, and set it to that level when you get your windforce card.

Your PSU should be plenty for 2 760s and a i7. I did a calculator here http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp for my rig to add a 2nd video card and came out at about 650w. That's an i5 OC to 4.4ghz and 2 760s in SLI.

Thanks again mf Red.

As an add on question, my reference card is in the top PCIe slot, when i add the 2nd card should I just put it in the bottom slot (my board has 2 slots)? I know they have different coolers (reference card has a blower style) so is it better to put the blower on top or bottom?

Well the blower won't cool as well as the Windforce, so I'd let it get the fresh intake air, and the Windforce behind it since its going to cool better anyways.

Top PCIe slot Windforce,
below it with the reference cooler
