Hi, need help guys, i have a budget and im trying to upgrade my pc.
im thinking of either buying a gtx 760 plus upgrade my ram from 4gb to 8gb or!...buy a radeon r9 280x and keep my ram at 4gb.
ppl told me to get gtx 760 telling me i would get a better fps boost but ive been looking around benchmarks and im still not sure.
i will mostly use this just to play games, i dont really multitask or do video editing so...do i need 8gb of ram?

Solution
get a 760 and upgrade your ram. 760 is already a powerful card. it would be better to have a better overall rig. as for me i play battlefield 4 and even if you get a 280x you cant play the game if you only have 4gb of ram. Just to be safe upgrade your ram to 8gb as i feel that battlefield 4 will start the trend that games gonna need an 8gb of ram.
The 280x is a much faster card, but also is over $100 above what it should be sold at in the united states. I would look into a 770. Upgrading your GPU will always be a better boost unless your system ram is so low you can't load the game. I say get a 770 or 280x then when you get the cash get 8gb RAM, that's starting to be the new standard.

Also, what CPU do you have?

its a dual stick of 2gb each, ill see the price on the day i go, if i can ill go for the 280x + 8gb of ram or the 760gtx with 8gb ram.
thx guys! (the 770gtx is a lil too expensive, and i live in tokyo btw)
