Hello guys, hope you can help me solve my dilemma,

Few weeks ago i reached out for my mobile phone, which was sitting on my table minding its own business, but my clumsy hands dropped it onto my pc cache (which was laying on its side, and open, but i wont get into details why I made perfect disaster scenario), first it fell on the metal part, which holds HDD and DVD reader, then it bounced on my mother board, between cpu cooler and side where plug ins are placed.

Consequences? My screen image froze, but music, which was playing at the time, continued playing. So i did the natural instinct thing and restarted my PC, but then my monitor didnt show any image at all, i restarted it couple of times, but no luck, i heard windows welcome theme few times, so i presumed that i trashed the graphic card, but i dont know how, since the phone didnt touch the graphic card (I leave 3% chance that i didnt see well where the phone landed, and that it maybe did hit the gpu afterall, but i dont think so).

So then i removed my graphic card and hooked up monitor to my integrated gpu and everything worked fine (apart from the fact that integrated gpu is crap and even you tube clips lag), i tried few times to plug back regular graphic card but to no avail.

So is it possible that the phone hit some conductor line (im making this up) that transfered data from PCI slot to cpu, or something like that, and that my graphic card i alive and well. I have checked my graphic card and it doesnt have any physical damage.

Motherboard is asus m2n-vm hdmi
Graphic card is nvidia geeforce 9600 gt

Thanks in advance guys.
