What resolution you playing at? And the 7970 is far from outdated so unless you're playing at higher than 1080p you won't see much of a difference.

Um not sure but i think my resolution is 1600 x 900 if that make sense (not at my own cc right now...)
And also how would you make the resolution higher better monitor?

The resolution will only look as good as it's native resolution, or how many physical pixels there are on the screen. So to up your res you need a new monitor. Your card is fine at 1920x1080, even 1920x1200. When you get up to 1440p is when the high end cards start to shine.

yea my monitor only goes till 1600 x 900, I have a monitor in wish list when i get the money

ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" 2ms Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor w/Speakers 300

or this one ASUS VG248QE Black 24" 144Hz 1ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD 3D Monitor

which 1 u say get or if neither what you pick and again without money being the issue....?

dont worry about your 7970 then unless you trying to cash in on $400+/- from the mining craze. and honestly you should and just buy a $500 gtx780. but you should really be looking at 1440p monitors as an upgrade. i ran my 1440p monitor off of a 7950 for a year and had a good experience. my 780 does it better.... but a 7970 will offer great 2560x1440 performance. with dell recently releasing their 4k@30hz monitor at like $700 bucks, the 1440p game is going to get a whole lot more affordable. plus gsync monitors are coming too so the 2 asus monitors your looking at will become cheaper too. but if all you need is 1080p i wouldn't be looking for a new gpu.
