I have a case from Corsair, the Graphite 600T White. This case came with 3 fans plus something to let me control fan speed manually with a dial on the case. The case fans are plugged into this thing, rather than the motherboard itself.

However, one of the 200mm fans on the front has died after less than a year. I have no idea what to look for if I want to determine exactly what the fault is. Please help.

beyond just checking the cord is plugged in there is very little youll be able to do, just go buy a new 200mm fan and install it, it only cost you about $20

Try it with the fan plugged directly into the motherboard or PSU. If it's still not spinning, it's dead. Not a lot you can do about it, except check if it's still in warranty.

Though the manufacturers usually mention the life of the fans and its expectancy, however it is not necessary that this age specification is met all the times. What was the warranty with the case? Check Warranty or Limited Warranty for one year? If later is the case and you've warranty period available with you, then you may contact vendor or manufacturer.

Saying all that, cost of new fan should not be troublesome for you. Save the time and pain and just buy new fan for your case.

There is hardly any thing that you can do to dig out the reason while other fans are still working. You may directly connect the fan with the mobo and check if it is working.
