asus 990fx ram compatibility

Hello;

I've built a rig with asus sabertooth 990fx and 1100t cpu. Everything went fine until booting, the system starts but it won’t boot giving blank screen and red light on dram section. I've tried 3 different ram sticks (each stick alone) with different slots, also made sure they are seated well, and tried MemOk button but it didn't help. I am using Kingston 4gb ram sticks KVR1333D3N9/4G and KVR1333D3N9/4G-SP, it is not on the qualified vendors list, could that be the problem?, or should it work anyway since MemOk button accept rams even if they are not on qualified list?

Please help, thnx in advance for your help.

Yeah always make sure ram is from the qualified vendor list. Its very doubtful that each stick isn't working. I'd try compatible ram

thnx for your quick answer. Most of the ram on the qualified list can't be found, is there any ram that should work anyway in your opinion?

I wouldn't risk it use whatever you can thats compatible

Hi;

Just to update, the system ran ok with the current ram. The problem was that ram were not seated well from the other side where there is no clip. If anyone looking for an answer especially like those ram slots were they have one clip, then he/she should firmly but gently press the ram from the no clip area until hearing a tick, then lock them from the other side.
