Hi Guys
Am chasing a graphics card for gaming on my 100 inch Panasonic pt-ae4000 1080p projector. I want to play games at 1080p, with high fps and max/high graphics settings. My mobo has a PCI express 3.0 slot ready to go for the new card, I have room in my case for a full length gpu and a 750 watt psu to run it.

I don't want to use dvi or any other output on the card apart from hdmi and the card will need to output sound and video through hdmi to my pioneer amp. It doesn't have to be the quickest gpu on the market if you think a lower model will be sufficient. Am really after something I can plug in, install the driver (win 7 64bit) and play. I will only ever run a single monitor setup and have no plans in the future for a multi monitor setup. Budget is around $400 can stretch a little more if required. If there are new gpus on the horizon please advice if you think I would be best holding off a few weeks/months. Please help any advice would be really appreciated!!

Thanks for your help

I have an HTPC with a 7870 in it. My reasoning was that because most games I want to play on it will also be out for the console, and because a PS4 is roughly equivalent to a 7850, then it should be more or less useful for the rest of this generation of console.

Personally, for an hdtv I'd go with AMD, they have better audio over hdmi support, and their 3d support might work with a 3d hd tv. NVidia is much better for sli (vs crossfire), and they have their own hardware eco-system(shield, g-sync), but I don't see either being a huge advantage to you. But nVidia certainly makes great cards (and slightly better drivers) so it wouldn't be a bad choice either.
