help me pick computer parts

ok so i want to build a new computer and i dont know what to get, im using some of my old computer parts too. they are r9 280x gpu, corsair 1000 watt psu and my 16 gb ram. I want to get a good motherboard for around 250$ and cpu around 400$, ssd 500gb for 350$ if possible, if not 400$ and a case that looks good and has great airflow but quite too. thanks

for gaming u only need i5-4670K (will not cost $400) and more than that the law of diminishing returns will kick in, in short u waste money. what about ur monitor? if it is a 1080p then yes 280X will do nicely, ssd 500GB cost around $300. looking at ur choice with only 280X, 1000watt is waste of money, just pick a good quality 750W psu for that setup or u can choose 850W psu and the extra budget from changing psu and cpu can go into choosing better gpu such as r9-290X. as for the case, im not too familiar with good looks but for good airflow maybe corsair obsidian 900D.
