First of all, not sure if this is in the right section, so I apologize if it isn't. Secondly, my sound card that I got to give me surround sound for my Turtle Beach wireless headset (X42) is causing a bit of latency. This happens on the desktop, on youtube, and in games, so it is not just games. I found an audio sync test on youtube, and even though it relies on my eyes to see how the audio is synced, it looked to be about 240 ms latency. Not unplayable, but if I turn around in a game when the audio was coming from the left, it takes a second for it to sound like it's coming from the right. I was not experiencing this before, so I know it is the sound card. Being a $70 card, I don't expect it to be perfect, but I would like to know if there is any way to at least reduce latency.
