Everyone,

I am looking for your help on an issue please.

I have this motherboard:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3010#sp
and I have this RAM currently:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220278

The new call of duty ghosts requires 8gb of ram, so I will be upgrading. I am looking at these two RAM types:

Comparison:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231542

Both are 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) like my current one. I have 4 slots total, so I was going to keep my current 4gb and add these 2x 4gb sticks for 12gb total. My questions:

1) Can I mix and match my current existing RAM with a new one? Note the 7 vs. 9 CAS latency and different voltages.
2) Which RAM is better? The 9-9-9 (with heat spreader) or the (9-9-9-24)
3) If I can't mix RAM types (allowing me to keep my current RAM), do I sitll have to go DDR3 SDRAM (PC3 10666) or can i go something better? If something better, any rcommendations?

Thank you for your help!

The 9-9-9 just didn't list the last number which is almost surely the same as the other, they are both the practically same aside from the look of the heatspreader. Mixing RAM can be done, but it isn't recommended, you *shouldn't* need more than 8GB anyways. And if you did want to mix RAM you would at least want RAM with the same CL and Voltage.

Thank you for your help.

Assuming then that I will throwout by 2x2gb sticks, I can start with a clean slate.

Do I still need to do DDR3 1333 PC3 10666, or can I get a better type of ram? I was only stuck on that because that was what my old type was?

If I need 8gb of RAM, what would you recommend would be best for my system? I am looking to keep it under $100, if possible. and I know this is above and beyond, so your help is appreciated. I just don't know what types I can use for my system.

I'm assuming it has to be 240-socket, DDR3, aside from that though, I am unsure ... does it have to be 1333 PC3 10666?

Basically I'm unsure of which RAM can go with my motherboard

You seem to know what you are talking about, so I will buy the
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 997002
based on your recommendation. Thank you very much!
