I am so frustrated. I upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 and since then have had nothing but issues. One being the printer. It IS connected and I CAN print, but I cannot scan. When I try, it tells me an error has occurred. I have tried everything suggested and the drivers are up to date as well. Please, someone, before I pull my hair out...HELP!
Some device manufacturer's have had to release new drivers specifically for Windows 8.1 after discovering that their Windows 8.0 drivers either don't work properly or don't work at all on the newer version.
You will have to keep checking your printer/scanner manufacturer's website for Windows 8.1 drivers for your model, or contact them for assistance.
