Hi,

my GTX 460 broke down about a day ago, I've been looking for a new graphics card ever since.
Right now I'm thinking about buying the Asus Radeon HD7870 but there is one problem: my PSU is a 450W Cooler Master GX Bronze.

Is that PSU strong enough to provide sufficient power for the HD7870?

Thanks in advance!

Your PSU has only one 6 pin connector and 7870 needs two.

So you need to buy a new PSU. 550W is more than enough but if you're forced to buy a new PSU then simply go for 750W or 850W to be more future proof for latest cards 4+ years after.

When purchasing another PSU jsut make sure it provides the amperage of >27 Amps on its +12V rail.

Alright, thank you! Buying a new PSU then.
