Pretty much what Brantyn said. Especially in this case; the 770m is a 960 shader chip, while the 780m is a 1536 shader chip with a slightly faster clock rate. This means you'd need almost perfect scaling for the SLI setup to even match the performance of the 780m.
Typically it will be a pretty beefy laptop anyways, but sli has it's drawbacks, and the drawbacks become even greater in a laptop, so you might as well go for the singular 780m.
