My ECS G41T-M16 can run a pair of 2gb DDR3 1066 without any problems.

Then I have decided to buy a single 4 gb ram stick DD3 1333 since according to the manual it supports dual channel DDR3 1333(OC)/1066/800 Mhz up to 8gb.

However, my computer does not boot up whenever I use my new memory stick. I tried doing a replacement on the new memory stick (it might be faulty), same problem.

Any ideas why is this happening?

Try to update bios and/or increase a little bit voltage for memory.

Unfortunately ECS motherboards doesn't allow you to change voltage of your memory, and my bios is updated. :(

I think that memory with OC needs a little bit higher voltage, not sure, try to google it.
