The extremely short 1 year warranty should have been a warning sign to stay away from it. This is an indication that even topower doesn't believe in the reliability of their own product. The Nano Series is one of their lowest quality offerings.

The industry average warranty length is 3 years for a decent PSU. Better quality PSUs will have a 5 year warranty. The best PSUs will have a 7 or 10 year warranty.

If your computer is shutting down when you start up a game or 3D application that causes the graphics card to draw a lot more power then that is an indication that the PSU is unable to supply sufficient power to the system. The only solution is...
How old is the topower 500W PSU? What is the exact model number of that PSU (i.e. topower had more than one 500W model)?

Try a different (i.e. better quality) PSU.

For a system using a single Radeon R7 260X graphics card AMD specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply. The power supply should also have a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 26 Amps or greater and have at least one 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The only solution is a new reputable brand PSU with sufficient power capacity.
