New here, been reading threads for a long time, never posted though, looking for some good advice on building a decent gaming computer that i wont have to upgrade for a fair while.

Approximate Purchase Date: About a month, can get some parts if they come on sale at a good price before then

Budget Range: about $1500 taxes in, before shipping and rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, movies, surfing web

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None really, been using ca.pcpartpicker.com to see what deals i can get overall, don't mind ordering from different locations.

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada around there anyways

Parts Preferences: don't really have one, what ever works well performance wise, and at a good deal

Overclocking: No, but would be something to maybe think about in the future

SLI or Crossfire: no

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: WoW is the main one (I know its not all that cpu/gpu instensive, but would like better performance overall) and other MMOs, getting into games like Crysis 3 and maybe Battlefield/CoD/other big name shooters and RPGs such as Skyrim

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Getting tired of using an outdated 5+ year old machine with parts that I pick up from friends who just upgraded or quick, cheap deals back then

I've put together a few builds on pcpartpicker, don't know if they are actually any good, or if there's better parts out there instead

Random build thrown together while at work, using Intel cpu:

Random build thrown together while at work, using AMD cpu:

Not stuck on choosing one of these 2 builds, if you can put one together that is better performance for price, please do

Thanks for taking the time to look and attempting to help. :)
