I finally decided that waiting three months for an Asus 280x graphics card is too much. I have already waited three months and now their expected delivery is set back another month. So, screw it!!!! So I am dropping my preorder (hopefully I will get my money back) and going with Nvidia and get it within two days.

So my question is, for the price of around $350 to $400, what graphics card can I get? Preferably from Nvidia?

Ya, don't worry about the 280x. It's old now anyway, dates to late 2011(Radeon 7970 rebadge). Actually all GPU's are old now. If you've waited this long... & spring is coming, do you use your PC much during the nicer weather? Because the next generation of GPU's is right around the corner. Nvidia Maxwell, with the new Radeons sure to follow.

Terrible time to invest $400 in a GPU. I'd cheap out or wait(buy nothing now). You're really going to want the 280X, GTX 680/770 successor!
