Ok so i have an old hard drive i'm using just for extra storage, its a maxtor 160gb hdd. I was using it as a hackintosh drive until i updated my hackintosh through the appstore (i know dumb idea, it corrupted it and doesn't boot). I want to reinstall the Mac OS X on that drive but it no longer shows in windows so i can't reformat it. It does however show up in the bios so i know its connected. Anything i can do so I can format the drive?

My build if it's needed:

Asus Maximus VI Hero Z87 ATX
Intel Core i7 4770k @ 4.4ghz
Corsair H60
Corsair Vengeance Pro 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600
Corsair TX750v2 80
Asus GeForce GTX660 OC 2GB
Samsung 840 EVO SSD
Fractal Design Define R4 Titanium

Macs use HFS. I would try using hfsexplorer. It worked pretty well with my computer even with windows 8.1.
